Honors Group Book Drive

Over the last two weeks, the LaHarpe Jr. High Honors Group has been collecting new and gently used books, and money to help out the Nettie Davis Elementary School in Watseka, Illinois. This school recently experienced flooding problems, and many parts of the school were ruined. The library reported a loss of around 1500 books. Many of the students remain homeless, as a result of flooded homes in the area. Through the kindness and generosity of students, parents, and staff, the Honors Group collected $56.00 in cash and 376 books. What a tremendous job.
