First Grade Hatches Chicks
Mrs. Beals and Mrs. Johnson have been busy with their first grade classes the past month hatching baby chicks. The first graders have been learning about birds, and learned many interesting facts about the chicken egg. They studied about eggs in class, and learned about the life cycle. Each classroom had their own incubator to hold the fertilized eggs. The students anxiously waited out the 21 day hatching period, after the eggs had been set in the incubator. After a long wait, the first graders welcomed four chicks into the classroom. These chicks were eventually donated to a local farm to be raised.
