Grades are Based on the Following Point System
Daily Participation - 10 points. (You must have your instrument, music and a pencil for each class period to get all 10 points.)
Concert Participation - 100 points
Contest Participation - 50 points
Lesson Attendance - Bi-weekly - 30 points
Practice Logs - 70 minutes per week - 10 points
Scale Playing Exams - 5 points per scale
Various Assignments - Various points
Music Supplies
Our Griggs Music representative will come to school every week to service our program. If you are in need of reeds, valve oil, slide grease, etc. please let Mrs. Mencel know and she will make sure he brings supplies with him when he comes. Prices vary.

Wednesday, October 29th 7:00 PM - Variety Show in the school gymnasium for all Band and Choir students
Thursday, December 11th 7:00 PM - 5-8th Holiday Music Concert for all Band and Choir Students (This is a date change from the beginning of the year.)
Thursday, May 7th 7:00 PM - 5-8th Spring Music Concert for all Band and Choir Students
March 28th - Solo & Ensemble Contest -TBA - Voluntary performance
May 1st - (NOTE the Date Change!) IESA Organizational Contest - TBA - Performance for all Band and Choir Students
May 7th - 5 - 8th Spring Concert 7:00 PM LaHarpe Gymnasium
