Red Ribbon Week
National Red Ribbon Week was October 26-30, where millions of young people and adults showed support for healthy lifestyles by wearing or displaying a red ribbon. This nationwide celebration has become a major force for raising public awareness and encouraging communities and schools to combat underage drinking and illegal drug use among youth.
LaHarpe District 347 celebrated Red Ribbon Week with a host of activities. The Junior High Student Council chose special themes for each school day of the week. At the end of the week on Friday, all students and teachers met in the gym to form a human red ribbon on the gym floor.
