LaHarpe/Dallas City Junior High Baseball

    The LaHarpe/Dallas City junior high baseball team saw action in two regular season baseball games this past week.  On Wednesday, August 31st, the Eagles travelled to Mendon to battle the Unity Mustangs.  The Eagles suffered their first defeat of the season, falling to Unity 9-8.  Spencer Ferguson led the offense with 2 hits.  Dawson Ryner and Kyle Baker had one hit each.  LH/DC was held to 4 hits in the contest, which led to their downfall on this night.  Ryner, Baker, Kyle Tanner, Jacob Douglas and Cale Hartrick all had an RBI in the loss.  Ferguson took the loss on the mound.

    The Eagles bounced back strong the next evening, September 1st.  That night they went on the road to Stronghurst to tangle with the West Central Heat.  LH/DC rolled to a 10-0 win.  Dwason Ryner threw a complete-game shutout to collect his 3rd win of the season.  Spencer Ferguson, Jacob Douglas, Jensen Corzatt, Kyle Baker, and Cory Hopper all had one hit apiece in the win.  Douglas and Corzatt collected 2 RBI's apiece, with Tanner, Ryner, Cale Hartrick and Aden Trout all adding one RBI each.  The wins move their season record to 10-1 heading into the West Prairie Tournament.
