Fourth Graders Earn Silver Dollars
Twenty-one students in the LaHarpe Elementary fourth grade earned an actual silver dollar for memorizing and passing four facts tests. These students took addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division fact tests and passed them in three minutes or less. In many ways, knowing your "facts" in mathematics is like having an easy button. Congratulations to these students for achieviving this milestone.
The First State Bank of Western Illinois donated the 1970's vintage coins for the students, and we want to say a big THANK YOU for their generosity. Good work fourth graders!!
